Slugterra Character Cream Frosting Cake

A cake with one of the character from the cartoon named "Slugterra" requested by my little nephew on his birthday. I am not sure the name of this character but its one of the villain character in the cartoon. I'm glad that he likes it!

I used the same method for 2D sugar paste image: print out image, draw in a sketch paper/wax paper as per print out, trace on the sugar paste, then trim/cut the image out accordingly and let it air dry overnight. Once its dried completely, proceed to "paint" the details using food colouring or using respective coloured sugar paste to trim out the image details then paste on it.

The base cake is German Chocolate (recipe adapted from Rose's Heavenly Cakes by Rose Levy Beranbaum) and sandwiched with dark chocolate mousse.

I placed the sugar paste image and name, piping the outline using melted dark chocolate and used Wilton 18 Star tip to pipe the whipped cream.
